Kids Classes

Kids can start training in our gym as early as age 5.  The classes are designed to teach basic fundamentals and discipline, but we also want them to have fun.  There are 2 options for kid only classes (BJJ and kickboxing).  In boxing class, our students will be training with other kids along with the adults. Each style offers something different so bring your child in to see what interests them the most.

Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Led by head coach and Zenith Black Belt Marcio Navarro, in this class, our students will learn the basics of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu  (BJJ) while keeping it fun.  This martial art style does not involve any punches or kicks, but instead is a ground fighting style similar to wrestling which uses a Gi and involves submissions. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu offers a belt system to students as they progress.
A typical class starts with warm up and then teaches students how to advance, control position and learn basic submissions under close supervision by their instructors.  The students will also participate in some light “rolling” with their classmates.  This class does a great job of keeping the attention of kids while getting them active.

Kids Kickboxing

Kickboxing is a martial art style that involves punches and kicks and awards belts to students that progress in this style.  We will teach our students the basics of kickboxing including proper punching and kicking form, blocking strikes and footwork. We do not have our kids do full contact sparring in this class, but rather work on fundamentals to build upon as they get older.  In addition to learning technique, we make it fun by playing games and keeping them active
